  • Amazing. This spa is cute, clean, and super customer oriented. My husband and I went to get a massage at 10:30 on a Friday morning. I had called the night before, and they said to just come in the next day. When we got there, it was about 10:20. We walked in, were greeted and asked if we had an appointment. When I explained that I had called the night before, they said NO PROBLEM and took us right away! I had Rikko and she was great. Great pressure, didn't turn my body into a giant oil slick (I hate when therapists just throw oil all over you), used hot towels to clean my back, arms and legs, and then gave me the best scalp and neck massage I've had in a long time. My husband had Lucy, and he said she was amazing. We made appointments for two weeks later. Great, great, great. That's what I have to say about this spa and these massage therapists. .

  • A++ for being available to take me in right away. My back and neck were all screwed up. I couldn't move my head to the left without feeling sharp pains down my back. A++ for being super clean A++ for for the fluffy robe A++ for being so accommodating I have no idea who my therapist was. I should have caught her name but sadly, I didn't. I called to see if they had availability and they were able to take me 45 minutes after I had called. They had a special going on so I went for the 2 hour massage. Cost: $100 before tip. YAHOO. Ok, given the price, I was a bit skeptical but I REALLY needed someone to work on my shoulders and back. The whole not being able to breathe cause my back is so tight thing had to get taken care of. I walked in, was greeted by a very nice woman and was guided upstairs to room 3. The bed was heated and almost too warm but I know I needed it. My therapist started working on me and I was afraid that she wouldn't be strong enough but she proved me wrong. I could have used more pressure but given my session was a 2 hour long one, I decided I just needed to relax. Relax is exactly what I did. I fell asleep *facepalm* She worked on my shoulders and upper back quite a bit. The movements were fast but nothing abrasive. It was more of a gentle motion over the muscles and fibers. Hell, it was relaxing enough for me to fall asleep! Plus for the hotel towels to wipe off the oil, too. The only downside was the parking. I had to circle once to find a good spot. Other than that, things were A-Ok. Next time, I'll opt for the walk on the back technique.

  • Mandy is a great massage therapist and a wonderful person. Try the walk-on-back technique and your stiff back will loosen right up! In addition Mandy will target your knotted muscles and unknot them too.

  • After years of getting massage in the bay area, this is as good as it gets, and at an affordable price. I have been getting massage from one of the owners for sometime now, and was happy to follow her to the new Spa. Consistently great massage, Mandy always seems to find the tight spots and work them away. Shamrock is newly remodeled providing a clean and comfortable setting. Fluffy robes and towels with nice shower facility are a plus. If you don't want to feed a meter, there is an inexpensive parking garage about 1/2 block away.

  • Wow! What an amazing experience. The moment I stepped through the door I felt at home, everything was so warm and inviting. The message therapists were very courteous and professional making me feel important. This day and age that is a plus! As I was gently escorted to the facial room I thought of how comfortable I felt. I began my facial treatment knowing that I am going to enjoy my time here. The therapist was so accommodating making sure I was comfortable at all times. She talked to me as if I had known her for years. After my face felt so invigorated and new again, I am really impressed! I am going to make my visits to Shamrock a regular event. This was definitely a treat that I can't wait to to experience again soon!!

  • Wow! What an amazing experience. Nice, clean, new business in a convenient location in San Mateo. Lots of street parking, but it is metered (so bring change). I knew one of the masseuses from another day spa in the east bay where she used to work, so when I heard she moved to the peninsula, was happy to see her at her new location. Nice to have a local place to get a very good, reasonably priced massage.
